バンコクの反政府運動

昨日のニュースでバンコクの政府関係のビルの周りでの反政府のデモと警察の衝突がありましたので、さっそく現地のコーディネーターに様子を聞いてみました。
下記、実際にバンコクにすんでいる方からの速報です。バンコクの滞在に関して、心配されることはありません。デモが関係する地域さえ立ち居らなければ市民も観光客もいつもどおりの生活を送っているそうです。本日10月9日現在は政府関係の建物周辺での混乱もなくなっています。

As you may have seen on the news, some violence occurred yesterday during ongoing anti-government demonstrations.

Although these events are disturbing, I would like to stress that they are confined to a very small area of not more than 4 sq kms around Government House. The rest of Bangkok and the country are not affected at all and Thai people and visitors can go about their normal daily business without any problem. All airports are open and operating normally and there is no disruption to other modes of transport.

Consequently, we can assure you that there is no need to worry about visiting Thailand at this time.
